APC 2022 Annual Report, CEO and Annual Meeting updates

Western Australian growers can celebrate the success of their FFS investment.

Thanks to the leadership and commitment of Producers’ Committees and subcommittees such as the Pomewest , 2021-22 saw the investment of some $3.85 million into industry development, research and development, producer capability and other initiatives for the protection, development and growth of agriculture in Western Australia.  2021-22 also saw the continuation of extensive direct and indirect support from DPIRD, with the Department investing and co-investing in an impressive and diverse list of industry initiatives.

CEO Update

After some 16 years at the helm of the Agricultural Produce Commission, and following her recent long service leave break, the APC advises that Ingrid Behr has made the decision to step down from her role. Ingrid has been instrumental in the development of the Commission including its legislative framework, people, processes and operating model.  Acting CEO Catherine O’Keeffe sure you will join the Commissioners in thanking Ingrid for her incredible contribution and wish her every success in her next chapter.

Catherine is also excited to confirm that following appointment by the Commission, she will be staying on with the APC as CEO and looks forward continuing to work closely with all to progress the broad range of initiatives and projects for industry. 

2022 Annual Meeting

The Commission are currently looking forward to an annual meeting with Producers’ Committees in mid-November. The APC will make announcements about the meeting date and program soon.
