Check out all the fun we had this week at the 2022 Perth Royal Show

Susie, Evelyn (Susie's daughter) and Nardia have been busy swirling through approx 4000 Bravo, Granny and Pink Lady apples serving the general public in the Food 2 Farm section at the show. Corella pears were also featured with taste sampling to 'rediscover the pear' which is sometimes viewed a the forgotten fruit.

Many people specially sought the Pomewest apple stand to purchase a great tasting, value for money and healthy snack as they wandered through the show. Apples were just the ticket as a refreshing snack with the warmer weather building throughout the week. Many told us "we just felt like something healthy to eat - we always have an apple slinky at the show!"

People knew the story of apples featured well, however, a few still were to be introduced to Bravo - as they have been over many years of our participation in this event. We were pleased to see Murray Collins and his family drop by, along with Peter Gubler, the Hon Alannah MacTiernan MLC Minister for Agriculture, and the a special visit from His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia.

We thank the Fruit West Co-operative, Noelene of Fresh Finesse and WA Farm Direct for their support and assistance for the ongoing success of this event, and we are ecstatic we were again able to reach many show-goers, both young and old, and remind them of the virtues of eating 'an apple a day'.
