Wrapping up the 'delicious' WAHU 2023
Thank you to our industry leaders Jason Jarvis, Mark Scott, Susie Murphy White, Terry Martella, Nic Giblett, and Adam Buckley Newton Orchards for attending and supporting the event to represent pome fruit. In the words of the engaging Master of Ceremonies Liz Brennan, WAHU was deliciously good this year.
The program focused on using innovative technology to move the horticulture industry forward. The main point of discussion revolved around sustainability and profitability for growers. It provided valuable insights, networking opportunities, and engagement with the trade show. The objective was to discover innovative ways to remain resilient in the industry.
Pomewest is committed to sharing the presentations and videos from the event with our growers and stakeholders in upcoming newsletters. These will feature key takeaways and learnings from the event. We will also share thoughts from our Pome participants about how the event benefited them. One of the most popular sessions was about the future of Horticulture, featuring Claire McClelland from Fresh Produce Alliance, Michale Coote from AUSVEG, Cath Oates from Wine Australia, and Anthony Kachenko from Hort Innovation. We hope that these snippets in the coming weeks will tempt you to participate in the next WAHU when it takes place in 2025.
Pomewest is a keen supporter of WAHU to encourage prosperity and growth opportunities for WA pome producers.
