Hort Connections 2023

Vegetable ice cream and skin-etched fruit branding were just some of the innovations on show on day two of Hort Connections 2023 at the Adelaide Convention Centre yesterday.

The first full day of the horticulture conference saw concurrent information sessions taking place within adjacent trade display halls, with most sessions full.

There were also opportunities for networking with the various meal breaks and the happy hour from 5 pm to 6 pm. The event continues today (Wednesday, June 7) with more plenary information sessions, product samples, technology demonstrations, taste testing, competitions, and contact-making.

The annual event, hosted by Ausveg and the International Fresh Produce Association of Australia-New Zealand (IFPA A-NZ), has become one of the largest horticulture events in the southern hemisphere.

Pomewest hopes that some of the key learnings will be brought to the WAHU later this year, along with some other participants identified at the trade show.
