APC announce appointment of Monica Radomilijac as Chair and Mark Sweetingham as a new commissioner.
Following the appointment by the Hon. Jackie Jarvis MLC, the APC announced this week that Monica Radomilijac has been appointed as new Chair of the Agricultural Produce Commission. Monica replaces the former Chair, Dr William Ryan, who has held the position for 13 years.
Pomewest takes this opportunity to thank Dr Ryan for his many years of service to the apple and pear industry with his time at the APC, and congratulates and welcomes Monica to the role.
Monica has an impressive background as a producer, business owner, board member, APC Commissioner and community leader. rived in the Pemberton region as a teacher; she is also currently managing and operating Pemberley Wines with her family. Situated in Pemberton this is a 210 ha property that incorporates 63ha of vineyard, 8ha of potatoes, 1 ha trufferie, marron, 100 Angus cattle and a cellar door.
The APC and Pomewest are excited for the next era of service to producers, with Monica and her diverse experience in business and agriculture at the helm.
In addition, the APC also welcomes the recent appointment of Mark Sweetingham as a new Commissioner.

Mark Sweetingham has had a 38-year career in the Western Australian Public Sector, and was a former Deputy Director General and Manager of Research and Industry Innovation at the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development.
Mark has had a long-term commitment to grains industry research and innovation at a state and national level. During his career he has worked closely with government, industry and academia to progress on-farm productivity and profitability, as well as seeking high value export opportunities. He played a major role in the establishment of the Australian Export Grains Innovation Centre (AEGIC).
He has a strong background in plant biosecurity and integrated disease management, having represented WA on national committees and project steering groups.
