Pest Parrot and Cockatoo Workshops 6 September 2022 in Bunbury
Strickland Park Economics is organising these workshops as part of their work with DPIRD to develop an overarching management strategy to manage pest birds ie corellas, rainbow lorikeets, sulphur crested cockatoos and parakeets, that cause substantial damage, economic, social and environmental, across the SW of the state.
The strategy will address key issues such as roles and responsibilities across governments and landholders, the requirement for an integrated, coordinated approach, funding, and will seek to establish priorities. They are seeking local grower knowledge and experience, which will help form the basis of their recommendations to Government.
There is no cost involved and there is a limit of 20 places for each workshop.
The Bunbury Workshop at the Dolphin Discovery Centre on Tuesday 6 September between 8:30 am - 1:30 pm would be the most accessible workshop venue to be involved for the SW pome producers.
