Pomewest congratulates the appointment of Jackie Jarvis as the new Minister for Agriculture and Food.
Premier Mark McGowan announced yesterday Jackie Jarvis as the new Minister for Agriculture and Food, with Minister Don Punch being given the Regional Development portfolio in addition to Fisheries.
The appointments are part of a range of changes to portfolios within Cabinet and follow the retirement of Alannah MacTiernan from State politics.

““I’ve had 25 years working in agribusiness and I’ve had long working relationships with WA Farmers Federation (and) with PGA (Pastoralists and Graziers Association of WA) in previous job roles,” Mrs Jarvis said.
“I’ve worked constructively with former presidents of WA Farmers Federation and PGA, along with all the other groups — Western Dairy, Vegetables WA, the fruit sector — so I’m more than confident I already have those networks in place.””
