Two WA Award Winners at the 2024 APAL Awards for Excellence this year

This week, we celebrated the winners from Western Australia at the 2024 APAL Awards for Excellence. The annual awards event was held in Melbourne on Sunday, June 2, 2024. Two Western Australians were announced winners of the six Australian apple and pear industry awards. We joined the grower and stakeholder community in celebrating the awards evening.

Jason Jarvis, Pomewest Chair, was thrilled to witness his mother receive an award for her long and valued contribution to the family farm  Prime Organics as a Woman in Horticulture. Many will also be delighted that Steele Jacob from DPIRD was awarded Research and Development Provider of the Year. Again, we would like to express our gratitude to APAL for acknowledging our efforts in research, innovation, and talent.  Well done, team WA!
