Vale Neil Casotti

RIP Neil Casotti founder of the Karragullen Cool Storage in 1962

It is again with a heavy heart that Pomewest reports this week of another treasured member of the WA pome fruit growing community.

Industry legend Neil Casotti of the Casotti Group passed away peacefully at Hollywood Private Hospital last Saturday.  Son of Giovanni and Clara (dec). Loving husband of Esdra, devoted father of Mario he will be sadly missed.

The Casotti Group, fully owned and managed by the Casotti Family, is Western Australia’s largest private grower, packer, and wholesaler of quality fruit and one of the largest private growers in Australia.  Karragullen Cool Storage (KCS) is a wholly owned subsidiary, responsible for the distribution and sale of all fruit produced by the group. KCS is a third generation vertically integrated fruit growing, packing, transport and sales company which was founded by Neil in 1962.

We speak for all, who knew Neil and know the Casotti family, when we offer deepest condolences to Esdra, Mario, Tracie and family Michala, Christian, Celeste and Emelia from  all the growers, family and friends of the WA Apple and Pear Industry.
