Project findings - Building Horticulture Business Capacity

Join vegetablesWA in horticulture industry presentations.

Two regional events, scheduled for 23 and 28 May, will present the final project findings of the seven-year program to build business capacity for WA Horticultural businesses.

Pomewest has been involved as a co-investor in a program in recent years.

Pome fruit APC FFS funding was invested in providing the opportunity for growers to access expertise from the experience of WA farm consultants Planfarm. With the intent to provide business analysis, advice, and support to improve profit margins, business resilience, and sustainability. This activity was a directive of tactic 1 of pillar 1 of the WA apples and pears industry strategic plan to improve the capacity and capabilities to enhance the sector.

We now invite pome growers who participated and others to attend the information sessions to understand the program's lessons and outcomes and potentially apply them to their own businesses.
