Industry Update #3 - Queensland Fruit Fly

The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) is continuing its comprehensive response to the detection of Qfly in Perth’s southern suburbs. Baiting, surveillance and community engagement activity continued over the Christmas break and is now intensifying as staff return to work and response requirements increase.

The Qfly response is operating out of the new State Biosecurity Response Centre in Canning Vale with a forward command post established at Winnacott Reserve in Willagee.
