Donnybrook Long Table Lunch 2022

Donnybrook Long Table Lunch 2022 at Orchard 1Sixty featuring local produce

As gold sponsors Pomewest and VegetablesWA were proud to support local growers and the Donnybrook region last Saturday.  Local produce featured on the menu and even the table decorations!  Congratulations to the Licciardello Family at Orchard 1Sixty for providing such a unique and beautiful venue in the packshed surrounded by their pristine orchard.  See video above to experience the vibe of the day!

Nardia Stacy and Dan Kuzmicich (Chair Veg WA) presented to an engaged audience, to build awareness of the importance of selecting local to support local industry and growers.  Creating by interest telling stories about our successes with our WA apple breeding program and how the industry was committed to providing our eaters the very best quality and nutrition value in their fresh produce food choices. Again a case of a reminder them of the virtues of eating 'an WA apple a day', and that 'good things come in WA pears'.

Industry members - Pomewest Chair Jason Jarvis, Committee member Sam Licciardello and Project Manager Susie Murphy White also represented the apple and pear growers at the event, along with other representatives from Ausveg, and VegWA CEO Stephen Brown, Committee member Peter Ivankovich and Industry Development Officer Michael Bartholomew for vegetables.  This was an excellence example of industry collaboration.

We would like to thank all of Donnybrook Food and Wine Festival Committee for organising and hosting this event for the opportunity to showcase and celebrate the very best of produce this region has to offer including wide selection of local wines, beers and ciders.
