The tour will take place in New Zealand from January 15th to 19th, 2024, covering both the South and North islands. AgFirst consultants will lead orchard walks in their home regions during the tour, allowing growers to learn from the experts. The tour will also include visits to leading growers in the Tasman (Nelson) and Hawke's Bay regions, where participants can discuss their season-to-date, block performance, and growing systems.
Over the four days of tours, participants will see:
High-performance orchard blocks consistently perform at >100t/ha across various planting densities and varieties.
Modern and emerging planting systems and their performance to date.
New varieties, growth habits, and trends in plantings.
