Farm Tech Planning - Making your data work for you

 Technology is rapidly integral to running a successful, profitable, and future-ready farm business. AgriFutures Australia developed the Producer Technology Uptake Program in response to recent reports on barriers and opportunities to support producer technology adoption.

 An integral part of the program was developing and delivering capacity-building workshops to support producers in adopting technology on farms. Rural Edge was commissioned to develop and deliver the workshops, bringing their industry experience and expertise to the fore.

 Rural Edge presenter Thane Pringle will present the Manjimup workshop on Tuesday, 25th July, at the DPIRD Manjimup conference room.  The workshops will guide growers on making the most of the farm tech opportunities available.

 This project is supported by funding from AgriFutures Australia as part of its Rural Futures Program. AgriFutures Australia is one of 15 Rural Research and Development Corporations focusing on the future of Australian agriculture. They seek new perspectives on old challenges to drive innovation for rural industries, improve production efficiency, and deliver solutions and services that help rural industries grow, acknowledging that digital technologies can make the supply chain more precise, profitable, and sustainable.

The Farm Tech Planning workshop was developed under the guidance of an industry sub-committee and chaired by Rural Edge Board Member and Narrogin farmer Tamara Alexander.
