Mario Casotti

I am passionate about the WA fruit growing industries, its in my blood. I continue to serve on the Pomewest committee to nurture a more sustainable future for the next generations.
— Mario Casotti

Mario has been involved as committee member of Pomewest since its inception in 2014 because he wanted to continue help resolve the many issues and challenges facing growers. He believes maintaining strict biosecurity measures is a key element.

Mario believes the key to a successful industry is grower involvement on Committees, and as such, is keen to continue to be involved.

As a third generation grower, packer and marketer of apple, pear and stone fruit for Karragullen Cool Store and owner of various orchards in all the WA pome growing regions. In recent years he has planted a variety of new fruit varieties sourced from the WA breeding program, and other states and countries. A Bravo branded apple supporter, with significant investment in the variety, he also sits on the board of the Fruit West Co-operative Limited - the licensed commercial manager of the ANABP 01 variety.

He is passionate about the pome industry and developing a more sustainable future for generations to come.
